On September 11th, Christ Episcopal Church, located at 480 Warwick Avenue in Teaneck, will begin fall registration for its Sunday School for children aged 5 – 13 and its Nursery Program for infants to 4-year-olds. Classes will meet weekly at 10:00 am; children will join their parents in church following classroom instruction. The theme for the 2011-2012 year is “Empowering the Next Generation”. The curricula, All Things New and the Episcopal Curriculum for Youth, will be combined to produce a highly relevant and engaging Christian educational experience for the Sunday School children. Nursery students will learn prayers and songs and listen to stories based on the Bible.
Christ Church Sunday School students and other parishioners will continue their commitment to the education of children in Trois Mats, Haiti. To date, over $4500 has been sent to the Haitian school to help cover the expenses for teachers’ salaries, textbooks, student benches and hot meals.
